The story of geniuses challenging prejudice 'Hidden Figures'

People become stupid enough to be unimaginable if they become prejudiced. There is no way to save those who are in the frame of false perception. Until they realize themselves, they have another form of barbarism. They discriminate against unfair reasons, violate human rights, and do not respect others. It would be fine if the atmosphere of society does not support such barbarism, but what if there were a large number of people with such prejudices? The film 'Hidden Figures' is based on the American society of the times when there were many racial prejudices. So there are various barbaric social images. There are restrooms for colored and even coffee pots are divided between white and black. Even if they do the same, black people do not get the treatment of a white man, and promotion can not dream. This discrimination continues on buses, on the streets, and in public institutions. In this age, the three main characters, Katherine Johnson, Dorothy Vaughn and Mary Jackson,

Fascinating adventurer, challenge life of faith 'Miss Sloane'

Ambitious men have a weakness. It is easy to fall into the trap that they can use illegal means and methods for their purposes. They often fall into this trap. This often leads to self-denial and destruction, but in many cases, they can not overcome this temptation. Madeleine Elizabeth Sloane(Jessica Chastain), the main character of this movie is that class. She is a top lobbyist with 100% odds of winning. She can't stand losing. Did she just use legitimate means in games? Of course, the answer is 'No'. She is also a follower of Machiavellism, who can get rid of means' legitimacy at any time if she can achieve her purpose. Can she make choices based on conviction instead of profit? And Can she pay for it? This is the interesting question that this film throws in the beginning. She is asked by big politician, Sanford, to campaign against the Gun Control Act. He absolutely needs the support of women to prevent gun control. So he came to her, a competent and promi

Great action but sorry character 'Atomic Blonde'

I was curious. Who will be the main character of the Spy Action after Jason Bourne was disappeared at the end of 'Bourne Ultimatum'? Lorraine, the top agent of MI6, played by Mad Max's Charlize Theron is charming. She is rough but very human. Charlize Theron, which is chic and tough, feels even more feminine, matches this cast. But the director was so obsessed with the girl Crush, that it broke the main character a little. Her action was great, but it was too desperate. What if it had been a little bit cool? Like Lara Crawford, played by Angelina Jolie. The character 'Lorraine' also does not have the attractiveness and likelihood of Jason Bourne looking for his identity. Lorraine should have been more stereoscopic. If so, her action would have been brighter. And she could have become the icon of new spy action after Jason Bourne. This film is set in Berlin during the Cold War era. It is the city where the liberal democratic camps and communist camps ha

One fairytale human comedy 'The perfect way to steal a dog'

What does it mean to know someone? It means knowing the truth of him and deepening his mind. When we have such understanding, we can become a true friend of him. The movie 'The Perfect Way to Steal a Dog' is a ten-year-old girl struggle. The reality that the young girl Ji-so has faced yet... Her father left his family, and Ji-so's family had to wander streets. Her mom 'Jung-hyun' leaves his little brother every day to Ji-so and goes to work. Meanwhile, Ji-so's birthday is coming. Ji-so wants to have a birthday party with her friends at home like everyone else on birthday. But her family have no home. It is a house if a small van that is full of junk is a house now. Ji-so' tells her teacher that she will have a birthday party at home because of pride. She boldly decides to buy a house. Now she has to make money for the house. She worries about how to raise a large sum of money with her friend. Then she come to decide to steal the dog 'Willie'.

Fantasy of Excellence

Let's say that someone has accomplished a great deal.  Then people will usually think this way. It's a result of a superhuman effort to play with someone else's playing, with a passionate mentality. But when you know it, this person has been different from the starting point.  This man did not work with great plans and intentions. It was just that it hit him and He was able to do it without much effort. The result was better than the efforts that were made, so he was more motivated. There could be a virtuous cycle in his work. So he kept going and it became an excellent achievement. The process of excellent accomplishment I saw around me was usually this. People often have fantasies about excellent achievement. They try to find its cause from personal unique qualities. They think the person who accomplished the excellent accomplishment is something. Here lies the premise that everyone starts at the same point as the track. But life is different from track a

Lucky ending, but funny movie 'Wandeuggi'

The movie 'Wandeuggi' is a joy. But it also does not have much in the chest.  It is not so serious despite the fact that it handles social sensitive material called 'multicultural family'. That part is unfortunate. No matter how serious the material is, it was too cool considering the taste of the generation these days, who show resistance when squeezing tears.  It should have left an impression that this kind of casting would ring something in my chest. Even so, the feeling of watching movies is refreshing. Is not this movie's popularity in Korea due to this "freshness"? I personally like this poster. It smells of people. This is also the attraction of this movie.  We can see the people of this era in this movie  'Wandeuggi'.  The images of our neighbors living in a multi-family house are depicted as they are. They are really 'ordinary people'. What would it be for a Filipino to have one person here? We are all the same human.
